Love as an Emergent Phenomenon

When we love we entangle ourselves with another. This bonding offers the possibility for something uniquely fundamental that reductionist explanations can’t make sense of. Because of this, love is an abstract yet emergent phenomenon. Something that is created by two people that ends up being greater than the sum of its parts. The lastings effects of love can even have real effects that resound through time after the creators of the love no longer sustain it.

A Thought as I’m rereading chapter five of The Beginning Of Infinity by David Deutsch.
