An Epistemological Warning

Most people’s thoughts about the world are not knowable. They are merely believable. Believability rests on plausibility, but everything is plausible as long as it doesn’t defy the laws of physics. Believability does not equate to reality.

Building one’s thinking upon believable/plausible structures that can never be falsified, generates ideology. These anti-rational memes tend to suppress knowledge in the end, because they cut off access to rational theories with frameworks that can never be broken by any form of evidence.

Ideologies are amoeba like formations that are immune to criticism by their holders, because they are easy to vary. They also come from all political and social directions. Beware of holding them.
