Support the WorkI keep a blog called Content + Context. The content is the pictures, photographs and paintings, along with the sketches and in-progress shots that usually never leave the studio. The context is the writing, where I work out the ideas about art and philosophy from which the pictures come. This archive is what’s made available when you support the work. The blog goes back to 2016, and the pictures in it reach to the late 1990s. I'm usually posting here several times a week.
Both the images and writing throughout the blog can be unfinished. They’re the problems before they get resolved, and sometimes they never do. In the blog’s history I can see patterns to my art along with ideas that have changed. But a painting that failed teaches me as much as one that worked, because it rules something out. This evolution is the part most people never see, since failures and dead ends are not intended to be front and center. Here, it has a place.
Your support buys me the time and independence to follow these problems where they lead. Getting access to everything I post means I get to keep trying to make something worth the attention.
